 Harrison County League                          v  Derwentside

The final game of the season saw us play a meaningless game as far as the league was concerned. Both teams had no chance of beating Sunderland and South Tyneisde, who were joint winners. The game had an end-of-season feel about it and there was a lack of goal chances in the first half. Derwentside took the lead in the second half when goalkeeper, Conor Goulding did well to parry a fierce shot but it was a Derwentside forward who fastened on to the loose ball to fire home. Chances did fall to Chester-le-Street and, again, there were good performances from a number of players but, in the end, another narrow defeat meant that we were some way off the pace in this competition
