A look at this page will let you see just how successful Chester-le-Street Boys have fared in district competitions over the seasons
| 07/08 | McArdle Thompson Wood Hamilton Elsdon Rimington Skelton Goulding Addison Bell Gillespie Adamson Hutchinson | The only trophy won by this team was the County Indoor 5-a-Side. It has to be said that any team which wins a county cup has had a successful season and we were delighted to carry off that particular trophy. The season otherwise was very steady, with the team difficult to beat. The two matches against a strong South Tyneside team will long be remembered and we were never beaten by more than a single goal Highlight of the season was the performance of Elliot Rimington who scored 22 goals from midfield - the best goalscoring midfield performance of any team. Last but not least, the attitude and behaviour of the team was exemplary. | Champions Durham County 5 a Side |

Despite starting the season off brightly, the team hit a bad patch after Christmas which prevented a successful run in cup competitions. Despite looking out of the race for the league title, a runners up place was secured to give the season a positive look about it. One important statistic which undoubtedly contributed to our mixed fortunes was the number of players who were missing either long or short term throughout the season. Only once did a full squad report for a match during the whole of the season which is an incredible statistic at an age when few injuries are sustained. Another important point to emphasise was the behaviour and attitude of the squad. They were a pleasure to work with. | Runners Up Harrison County League Durham County 5-a-Side Tyne/Wear 7-a-Side |

| One of the most successful teams in our history. Winning one county cup is an achievement but to win three is outstanding. Beat a strong Stockton team 1 - 0 in the final of the Derwent & Medomsley Cup and followed this up with a 2 - 1 win against Newcastle in the final of the Durham & Northumberland Cup. Won the Durham County 7-a-side and were also joint winners of the North of England finals, sharing the trophy with Preston at the competition held at Sunderland's Academy of Light Played very well at the ESFA national finals at Keele University, winning the group matches before going out in the semi finals. | Champions North of England 7-a-Side Durham County 7-a-Side Durham & Northumberland Cup Derwent & Medomsley Cup Runners Up National ESFA 7-a-Side Tyne/Wear 7 -a Side Special Award Voted "Team of the Year 2006" by Chester-le-Street District Council |
| 04/05 | Morgan Ross Bailes Dryden Ramshaw Roberts Hall Simpson Robinson Wilkinson Pearce | A great season but also a disappointing one in some way. The team were in contention for every single trophy that was going and were runners up so often simply because Derwentside had such an outstanding team. In terms of how well the team performed in each competition, few teams have done better as can be seen from the honours' board. Even in the North of England final, we reached the semi finals only to be beaten by, guess who - Derwentside! The team can look back with great satisfaction on a season of such success even though, in their eyes, they will feel a tinge of disappointment

Qualified for the national finals once again although circumstances seemed to go against us a Lilleshall What was unique about the team was that two of the boys, Adam Reach and Liam Robson both had fathers who had played in the same Chester Boys team years before. Looking at the season as a whole, the only competition which they didn't go well for them was the Harrison League The record of the team over the season was most impressive and will go down as one of the most successful we have had | Champions North of England ESFA 7-a-Side Durham County 7-a-Side Tyne/Wear 7-a-Side Durham County 5-a-Side Durham & Northumberland Cup Runners Up National ESFA 7-a-Side Derwent & Medomsley Cup |
| 02/03 | Henderson Graham Hewitson Moat Hankinson Watson Clarkson Peake Lawrence Clark Wearmouth Raine Dawson Hall | This team performed outstandlingly well in the 11-a-side game and this was highlighted by their performances in the Harrison County League. By winning 14 out of 14 matches, they won the league in record time by achieving what no other team in county Durham had ever done before. This was, indeed, a tremendous feat in remaining unbeaten in a fiercely competative competition. A dip in form towards the end of the season didn't stop them from reaching other finals although none were won.

| 01/02 | Days Surrey Howard Brown Phillips Anderson Forster Hughes Haig Crawford Lee McKenzie Hope | This team produced a tremendous performance in the ESFA 7-a-side competition. Against all the odds, they kept up a great tradition of qualifying for the North of England finals by winning the Durham County competition at Pelton Roseberry Sports College. Although not progressing to the national finals, they did, however, manage to add Chester-le-Street's name once more to the trophy to manitain a fine record in this competition. | Champions Durham County 7-a-Side |
| 00/01 | Peck Davis Darwin Medine Hoyle Travena McGuire Fenwick Ryder Charlton Morris Turnbull Pickering | Unbelievably, this team almost matched the previous year, reaching the final four in the country in the newly named ESFA 7-a-Side. With Wembley no longer available, the national final was played at the national sports centre at Lilleshall in Shropshire. The semi final went ended in a 1 - 1 draw with Gary Medine grabbing the equaliser but, unfortunately, we lost out in the penalty shoot-out. In county competitions, the team played well throughout the season and were successful in the final of the Derwent & Medomsley Cup where we were comfortable winners over South Tyneside.

The highlight of the season was most definitely the trip to Wembley to play in the national finals of the Adidas Predator 7 -a -Side, where we had the distiction of being crowned national champions. The whole of the weekend was a truly unforgettable experience which will live long in the minds of all who had the opportunity to be there. In addition, the team was highly successful in all county competitions as can be seen from the role of honour Captain, Carl Magnay, is attempting to win a prfessional contact with Chelsea through the Sky Sports programme "Football Icon" and Richard Smith is on a YTS contract with Sunderland What a season!

| 98/99 | Stephenson Cornell Magnay Marshall Small Thackray Botcherby Baston Kerry Howard Davidson Guy | The first ever winners of the Derwent & Medomsley Cup by a Chester-le-Street Boys team The Hennessey Memorial Cup was always traditionally the final match of the season, played against Sunderland Association. This was, significantly, the last time it would be contested due to the fact that Sunderland were no longer running an association team. The team also performed very well in winning the county 5-a-side trophy at Consett Leisure Centre One of the squad, Anthony Marshall, is one of the few players to have played three years running for the team. This is not allowed now due to the FA rule which states that only Year 6 pupils are allowed to played 11-a-side football Kris Thackray has just signed a contract with Serie A club Reggina (October 2006)

The team kept up the great tradition in the Adidas Predator 7-a-side by missing out by a hair's breadth on a visit to Wembley. Playing the North of England finals at Chester-le-Street Riverside, we reached the final against Barnsley which ended in a draw. Penalties had to be taken and this ended in heart break as we lost out in the shoot out. One interesting piece of information as far as this competition is concerned is that the Liverpool team, which played in the early rounds, contained a certain Wayne Rooney. We are delighted that a member of the team, Grant Leadbitter, has gone on to be a regular in Sunderland's first team and his family has maintained their links with the district team by providing refreshments and a raffle at home matches ever since

| A very young team whose achievement during the season was to win the Durham County Adidas Predator 7-a-Side competition The ESFA 7-a-Side was a new competition in this season and, as County Durham champions, we represented the county in the north regional finals which were played in Manchester. The team did extremely well to reach the semi finals containing three Year 5 boys, Peter Roddam, Ryan Drummond and Andrew Robinson, who would go on to play in the north regional finals the following year at Batley

The team notched up a unique double by winning the premier junior schools trophies for sport in the region. In recognition of this achievement, the team was invited to a reception at the Chester-le-Street District Council offices at which the chairman remarked "These lads are a credit to their schools and district" Two members of the team were Michael Barron (Roseberry) and Andrew Todd (Red Rose), who both went on to make a name for themselves in the professional game.

The Harrison Cup was a knockout cup in those days, resulting in a two-legged final. The semi final, played at Lumley School, resulted in an unbelievable 7 - 0 defeat of Peterlee - quite remarkable as far as district football is concerned - but this was surpassed in the first leg of the final, again played at Lumley, when Chester-le-Street defeated Stockton 8 - 0. The return leg was, of course, something of an anti-climax, which resulted in a 2 - 0 defeat. For their achievement, the boys and staff were awarded a civic reception by the district council
